Calico`s Deli & Pasta in Garberville

I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The meals are tasty and the team is very friendly and cooperative. always when we visit this place we pass a gorgeous time. I recommend this place with pleasure.

The new owners or management refused to cook the veggie burger I wanted in a clean pan. I was told it would be cooked on the grill with the meat. Also, they were not serving the vegetarian tofu with rice and vegetables my husband and I wanted to order. We traveled over 100 miles to eat at Calicos Deli. It used to be one of our favorite stops NEVER AGAIN!

I just had a made to order chimichuga. It came with rice and beans, and was good. I was told that Calico's only does Mexican food on Saturdays, so that what I ordered. I didn't order dessert, but what I saw in dessert case looked yummy. Maybe next time I'll get dessert too!

The only thing wrong was that my burger was burnt and I got onions even though I said I was allergic. I ordered to go or I would have sent it back. The service was great and the deco was amusing

The sandwiches are always fresh and the guys are helpful. For a small town this is a nice place to find and have a moment to chill out and enjoy te atmosphere of the town and the locals that frequent the place it has some very colorful people as is in the whole town. It is a fun place for a quick bite to eat

The teriyaki burger was the best burger we had on our trip, a little messy to eat but worth it. The fries were great but a little generous on the salt. I highly recommend this place

This place is fantastic. Great portion size and handmade ingredients. Service is slow when they get busy however.

The best fettuccini alfredo with house made fresh pasta. The cod was very good too.

This was the only place open in this town so we had to go here. Food was great. I had a chicken sandwich (although it's more like a burger) which I enjoyed. While we were here a man was playing on a violin, so I guess you could call that live music.Also, if you are here don't forget to look at the walls! We found the posters to be very entertaining.What was a bit weird was that when the check came the total they had written on it was $81,10. We found this strange because we didn't have that much so we added up the meals we had and came to a total of $53,10!! Very strange!! When we asked about this the server went downstairs and later came back with a total of $57,44 (which was correct including tax). He said he didn't know what went wrong the first time. Not sure if it was a genuine mistake or they tried to scam is but it felt really strange.

Reasonable priced burgers that taste great! We were there at 7:30pm and service was friendly and fast!

The menu and service were above our expectations. I really liked the environment of this spot. Nice restaurant to take my family out for lunch.

The food is good. It had probably changed menu option from earlier reviews. Although the food and atmosphere are fun, they definitely are not kid friendly due to all the semi-nude posters hanging about and language used among the staff. Staff is friendly.

We like a lot to go out. Yesterday we came to this fine restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a lovely time there with delicious meal and a professional crew and a distinguished cuisine. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt return very soon. We warmly recommend.

Although there are other places where you can have breakfast and lunch, Calico's is the only "restaurant" in town. The atmosphere is very friendly. The menu is basically burguers, pasta and mex food. Everything is really good, but I particularly loved pasta. The place has a really big variety of it and all are delicious. The size of the portions are big. Prices are fair, not a cheap place, but I'd always go back for the quality of the attention and the food. And I can watch the games.

The turkey club tasted great! I'm going to order it again and hopefullt they put some turkey on it this time.🤞

Great food, awesome place. Love the art work on the walls. Plus upstairs dinning and bar. Food is reasonably priced. Italian Food on week days and Mexican on the weekends.

The food is decent.the customer service is questionable.i went in to get food for me and a few of my buddies .the guy behind the counters attitude wasn't so good .like as if my order bothered him .he acted like he wasn't there to work!! Lol it was pretty funny to see him there frustrated taping his pen on the counter with that look on his face like are you done yet ..haha ..but the food is good !! If you have a big order you might want to go elsewhere ...

This restaurant has superb service and tasty food. One of my favourite places ever. The food and drinks arrived rapidly and the rates are fair. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. Steamed zucchini on side. Wife had a burger. She said it was ok. My spaghetti was outstanding. So if you want italian, this is the place.

This spot is great! Affordable prices, considerable portions and the staff members are always very nice.

Bay shrimp Linguine. Just do it! This is a treasure. Great service as well.

This place has gone so downhill. Doesn’t have half the things on the menu, messed up the order and fussed about remaking it. Looked like the “tunamelt” was just some cheese microwaved and slapped onto a cold sandwich. Highly disappointing

Hit and miss does garberville even have good reasonably priced food? I think not

Might chalk it up to just being a busy night on a holiday, but it took 2 hours to get our food. We were told our check was ready downstairs before we were served. The food was delicious when it came and the portions were very large, we all took some home. The carne asada was good and well cooked, we had the nacho appetizer and I had the mojado burrito with it and it was very good. The price is about what you'd expect from a tourist spot, but all in all I'd recommend if you don't hit it in a super busy night.

Drove through here on my way to Redwood National Park and decided to eat here. I ordered their spaghetti and bread sticks and it was delicious! I haven’t ordered spaghetti in over 20 years because I like my pasta a certain way. But I split a plate with my husband and he ordered the spaghetti. It’s the best spaghetti I have ever had! My husband was shocked that I loved it because he knows how picky I am with my pasta. Try this place out! I know I will be stopping by there on my way back from the Redwoods in a few days.

Good place to stop for a quick dinner on the go. The food is pretty good, but there is no Italian food on weekends. They do make their own pasta though.

Most delicious hand made pasta ever!

Delicious! We had a border beast and spicy italian sausage from the menu. It hit the spot. Glad to have a nice sandwich on the way through the area. Great service and staff.

From the moment you arrive in that restaurant the personel give you a pleasant feeling. Very comfortable crew, it is a good restaurant to pass time with buddies or with your date. yummy cooking, specialist chief cook and stuff, decent pay and professional service. Warmly recommended.

Tasty food and live music. Kinda poor layout and lighting, but at least its tasty. Also, ask if pasta comes with you entree and they might add it for free.

I always forget it's a sit down restaurant now, used to be a deli style -stand in line and get your own order type of place. Either way the foods good and service is top notch. I had cheeseburger and fries-cuz I'm basic! My dad had one of the salads and not only was it pretty but it was enough to feed two easy.

Great food and big servings, stopped here on the way to the Rogue river where I plan to kill some salmon. A side order of sausage links.

Ever since the new ownership bought Peter's business the quality has gone way up, this is the place to go in Garberville for food past 9pm. Highly recommended. Absolutely love the Mexican menu served on weekends, nothing but good things to say about the business and its awesome staff, they even have a lively bar area upstairs, check them out.Only negative is that they are so good, and so popular that the wait time can be extremely long, I suggest going when it's not lunch or dinner rush for the best experience.

Food is cooked to order. Big selection of burgers, sandwiches, and shakes. Delicious!

I love this restaurant. The service is fantastic and my meals are always absolutely wonderful.

Excellent food. Large menu offering and generous servings. You will not leave this restaurant hungry. If you desire a adult beverage, they have a well stocked bar and nice wine selection. As to the staff, friendly and attentive, and to top it off, my wife left her small purse at the restaurant. When she realized two hours later that it was missing, I returned to the restaurant and the manager recognized me and explained he had found it in the chair and had tried to find us. Great service, good food, honest and friendly. Doesn’t get any better then that.

I worked at this restaurant/ tratoria, back in 2002. It's under New ownership now. They have authentic Mexican food now,...During the weekend they serve fabulous Mexican food at a VERY reasonable price.

The town is a bit rough, but the food in this restaurant was great! I had a burger and some fantastic onion rings and my friend got pasta which is home made. We enjoyed our meal, but felt a bit uncomfortable eating there. I do not recommend staying in Garberville, but if passing through during the day I would eat here.
